5.4-5.6 Test
In Algebra 2, working with polynomial functions was one of the easiest things to do once I understood it. However, these skills were easy for me to forget or mix up in between classes. I started to worry about how this weakness could effect my test grade, so I commited to studying very diligently over the course of many nights. This way, I reviewed every day and there was no time for the information to leave my brain.
One problem is that I have always struggled with how to study math. Unlike other subjects, math requires more practice rather than just reading over notes. On the left is a slideshow of my practice for the test. First, I worked through all of the examples in the book and checked my answers by making sure I went through the same process as what was shown. Then, I did the Extra Practice problems in the back of the textbook. I was able to stretch out my study time by finding the best tools to use in the book. After taking the test, not only did I recieve a great grade, but the information has also seemed to stay with me more.
In preparing for this test, I saw the great results that a tedious study plan can have. I also learned how important it is for me to be able to identify my weaknesses and work on improving them early with any available resources. Although through the previous semesters I used a similar study plan, this more diligent system has had noticeable results.
